I really really give a fuck about this game now. Really want us to win.

Pointed out to the wee lad that we beat Norwich the other week, so he asked whether were better than City then, obviously I said YES!

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
Yeah I am an optimist, still waiting for Ashton & Carroll to get fit to give Haller some support upfront too!

Parris St the Man,

If Wishere was fit that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Problem is Wishere looks really slow now. Its a fucking shame, as a fully fit Wilshere would be one of our best players.

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
Not wide, Midfield 3 like liverpool to give us solid base, leaving Haller, Anderson & Lanzini to cause riot upfront like Mane, Firmino & Salah. Wilshere is left footed & Noble could play right of Rice. If it good enough for the Euro champs...

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
I don't even see Yarmalenko /Wilshere being a call at all, no way will he play wide.

Parris St the Man 7:43 Sat Sep 14
Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
The only call is Yarmalenko or Wilshere who both scored last time they played. Personally Id go for Wishere on left hand side of MF 3 for defensive reasons as I’d hope he could cover Massa when he bombs down the wing

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
so assuming the team in the OP

a bench of:
Roberto
Balbuena
Cresswell/zabaleta
Sanchez
Wilshere
Fornals
Adjeti

Personally id like to see Johnson on the bench instead of either Cress or Zab as he can cover both full back spots and the other 2 arent going to be here next season.

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
I would of thought that Lanzni would of been back by Thursday evening. His game finished in the early hours of Wednesday morning our time, thus he stays in Dallas overnight and fly's back Thursday afternoon our time. Back Thursday evening. No need to stay in Dallas an extra day.
Quite often clubs pool together and get a private jet. Both Mexico and Argentina would of had numerous players coming back to the England .
Dallas flight 11.00 EST Thu arrive 18.00 EST 23.00 BST

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?

Lanzini travelled but did not play much.

Yarmelenko played about an hour in both his games, we might see Wilshere tried again. So maybe in there.

Not sure what is up with Balbeuna, made captain for a friendly, they did not do well and was dropped for the next one. Try and keep a consistent back 4 anyway.

Rest picks itself.

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
That front four looks as potent as almost any team in the league. Unfortunately our back five looks as incapable of defending as any team in the league.

I'd go with Eddie's team.

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
Has to be Eddie!
Lanzini should be ok to play. Should be back today and I guess could train tomorrow. He played half a game for Argentina at 3 am (BST) yesterday.

I think c&h said that manu will return on friday so he should be starting

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
Might be that Fornals should be in instead of Lanzini, if our Diamond is not 100% up for it. There is actually a possibility to rotate now.

And kudos to Ogbonna for stepping up.

Re: WHU team Vs Aston Villa?
If fit the team picks itself after the last few performances

Only questtion for me would be Lanzini as apparently he's not landing back from international duty for atleast another couple of days
